Red Hook Market

We designed a market for the community of Red Hook. It includes a greenhouse garden as well as an outdoor kitchen learning space to create an opportunity to teach and learn about the produce sold in the market. By utilizing bifold doors along the south facing facade and entrances, we created an open and unconditioned floorplan. The exposed steel structure branches from the columns to create pitched walls and tall ceilings for the second level. The second floor includes a cafe and the greenhouse which is connected by a suspended catwalk through the peaks of the roof.
