Contrasting Method
Solid Mass and Transparent Surfaces
Using transparent materials, I explored the contrast between solid, opaque mass and transparent ground. The reflection represents how the space inside the opaque mass could be explored.

Additive and Subtractive Surfaces
Additive
When applying additional surfaces to this form and ground, new space is created. Pyramids puncture the surface allowing for the possibility of new interaction and occupation between these areas.
Subtractive
When cutting into the mass and ground, new space is exposed within the layers. This emphasizes the negative space within a form and brings the interior area to attention.
